- Around April 1973, work began at Stargroves, Mick Jagger’s country house in the UK. It is possible that a few backing tracks were created at that time, but this is unconfirmed due to the absence of Pete Townshend’s diary.
- The story of the building of The Who’s Ramport Studio at this time is well known. Under those chaotic circumstances, work commenced 21st May 1973, using Ronnie Lane’s mobile as a control room (in tandem with Ramport’s desk until 5th July) before moving into the Ramport control room on June 22nd.
- Unless otherwise noted, session dates occurred on:
* June 22nd, 25th, 27th-29th
* July 2nd-6th, 9th-13th, 16th-18th, 24th-27th, 30th & 31st
* August 1st - Mixing occurred from 3rd August-12th September 1973 at Pete Townshend’s Goring studio.
